Without a doubt South Africa's number one DJ, he is rated as one of the top 30 Hip-Hop DJ's in the world at present.

READY D
READY D is without a doubt SAs number one deejay. Ready D born in District Six has been a productive member of the Hip Hop culture since 1983. He won the SA DJ championships four times in 1989, 1990, 1998 and 1999. He also won the DJ OF THE DECADE award 1996. He is rated the among the top thirty hip hop deejays in the world. In 1995 Ready D was a judge for the UK Vestax World DJ Championships. Perhaps better known as the deejay for POC (Prophets of the City), he toured Europe extensively with POC for a period of six years and performed alongside groups like Public Enemy, Fugees, Ice-T, Spearhead to mention just a few.
He enjoys superstar status with a cult following all over the country. Definitely the most exciting deejay in SA to see perform live. Apart from performing in clubs Ready D took the art of HIP HOP deejaying into many areas where it was unknown- e.g. Big Music events around SA such as ICE FEST, SYNERGY, CAMEL EXPERIENCE, OPPIKOPPI, KKNK FEST (week long tour into rural and underprivileged areas where most of the community do not have electricity). The Woodstock Fest, Alex Groll International Inline Skating Championships, RED BULL DOWNHILL EXTREME CHAMPS, GRAHAMSTOWN JAZZ Fest, NORTH SEA JAZZ FEST, various trade shows and Expos. Ready D is also the DJ for Pioneer Afrikaans Hip Hop group Brassie Vannie Kaap
