The true sense of relieving lifes problems is through music. Music has a way of evoking different emotions and through this album I plan on telling the story of love and hate, trust and distrust, war and peace - Bravo
Siphiwe Msimanga a.k.a Bravo was born on the 6th of November 1982. Bravo started his musical career performing with a group called V-Crew doing Hip Hop performing in malls, schools and parks. V-Crew then split up and he then joined Lova U- Knighted where they decided to improve their Hip-Hop skills performing in vernacular and mixing it with break-dancing and graffiti, performing in clubs such as Club Reality, Horror Caf, 360 degrees and WhoZoo.
Bravo than heard about a competition called Schweppes Sparkling Granadilla Kwaito Fabulous from his friends, at first he was reluctant to join but at the last minute his friends decided they should go and perform as a group. When he arrived at Club Limelight he decided to audition solo. He then got a call back and re-auditioned at Southgate Mall. From Southgate Mall he won and became the representative for Gauteng. Bravos easy flowing way of expression blew over the judges thus Bravo went on to beat out the winners from Cape Town, Pretoria, Durban, and Port Elizabeth to become the Schweppes Sparkling Granadilla Kwaito Fabulous Winner.
Bravo has sure proved to be brave, to stick it up in this industry and make a name for himself as a young boy that has grown to a man right in front of us on stage.
Since winning the competition, Bravo has been busy in the studio recording his album titled Skhokho. Working with new wonder boy producer Thabiso Thaso Tsotetsi; Bravos 15 track album is due to be released in October. Featuring such track hard-core tracks as Gumusha to the Hip-hop track Neva, Bravos album is a mixed masala of sounds sure to please even the most discerning of audiences.
Bravo has also been busy lacing one the most promising Hip Hop artists Pitch Black Afros album and has been touring with him. From the wonderful relationship that has spurned from recording the Pitch Black Afro, Bravo then worked with PBA on a track for his album entitled wena u bani which is Kwai-Hop track with Rock undertone.
And the story of love, hate, trust and distrust, war and peace he told. Following the hits that came from his story. Bravo shukumised the whole of S.A. in summer with his hit shukumisa, and left the music industry puzzled with wena u bani, followed by Yimi iskhokho kule ndawo. Skhokho he was with this album, skhokho and now the much mature and wiser Bravo, he is working on his second album and promises not to hold anything back giving it all and more for his fans.
If anything can be said Bravo is sure to spark a flame in the music industry.
