Amukhelani Nwankoti AKA Mchangani who hails from Giyani started rapping in 1998, when he would freestyle in beauty contests and High School. At the time, the hey day of TKZEE and the likes of Mdu, Hip Hop was not a very popular genre in his home town and people were confused by the new style of music.

Mchanganis had a passion for Hip Hop and would not give up. After lots of tedious perseverance, finally in late 2000, Mchangani released a mixed tape entitled Villan, by then people were starting to pay attention. The first single from the mixed tape, Kangala (Burn)received massive airplay from Phalaphala and Mungana Lonene. Mchangani also shot a music video for the track which also enjoyed airplay from Channel O.

When it came time to promote his music, Mchangani endured the same problems that plague most new artists, receiving gigs but not being paid apropriately if at all.

But as always not being one to back away from a challenge and having a firm belief in his music, Mchangani, promoted the mixtape for four years.

After a long hard road and countless personal tribulations, Mchangani was ready to give up because he felt he wasnt receiving his just dues. But on realizing that releasing his album was no longer just for him but for his loyal fans that had supported him, he knew that he had to get out there.

Then finely it happened and in 2006, Mchangani signed a deal with Ghetto Ruff and is currently working on his first full album. Mchangani is currently working on his album with veteran producers such as Kaybee and Amu and also with 37mph, Bongz & Ishmiza.
